His Sheep Know His Voice

Scripture: John 10:4
Devotional Series: Conflict with the Whore
Teaching: Conflict With The Whore pt. 4 (WED 2021-02-10) by Pastor Star R Scott

The Word Movement has been off the Word for a long time:  for decades.  They still shroud enough of the Bible in their message to get people to swallow it, but let me tell you who these teachers are:  they are the false prophets who make merchandise out of the church.  They are preaching the Gospel for their own prosperity; and the people love to have it so.

Jeremiah 8:11 says they say, “Peace, peace; when there is no peace.”  People who profess to be Christians are more concerned with the outcome of the election than they are the condition of their own hearts and souls.  Judgment begins in the House of the Lord.  Don’t you worry about these ultra‑Liberal people; I’d be concerned with my own heart first.  These people are so vile, their plan is to bring destruction; this is their ideology.  They are sinners:  that is what they’re supposed to do.  But, why do we live the way we do?  The Lord says in Matthew 7:15, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing…”  Many of us listened to their teachings over the years.  It could be Word of Faith, Pentecostals; it might be some that are over here in the camp of Reform Theology.  It doesn’t matter which camp it’s in.  I’ll tell you what will do more damage to the church.  It won’t be the Word of Faith Movement; it will be in the lying signs and wonders group, because the Charismatics are so given to this.  Lying signs and wonders; that doesn’t mean the miracle is not real.  The lie is that it’s something that comes from God; but if it doesn’t bring glory to Jesus, if it promotes men, then it’s the spirit of antichrist and it’s a lie.

Look at Ephesians, Chapter 4, verse 14.  It talks about the people whom they will pick off.  They will pick off the immature.  Do not be immature.  Don’t be a baby.  “Be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine.”  “Every wind of doctrine:” There is only one doctrine; amen?  Notice one of the ways that He protects us and helps us grow up:  it’s by intertwining ourselves together; it’s by spending time with the Real Thing.  You know, when they teach people how to find counterfeit money, they don’t give them a truckload of counterfeit bills and make them memorize every false possibility.  “This one has this little aspect that’s off; and this has this little point that’s off.”  That is not how they train these people:  they give them the real thing; they memorize the real.  If you know the real, you can always spot a fake.  And when you hang out with the Real Thing, you can see the fake.  “[His] sheep follow him: for they know his voice.  And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers” (John 10:4).  Amen?  Now sometimes we are in a position where we cannot hear clearly; but, if we have two or three brothers around us and we share this new enlightenment and this new revelation and this new teacher we just heard, these brothers can tell us  “That doesn’t sound right.  Where is the Scripture behind this?  What about this Scripture?  What about that Scripture?”  The deceived will say, “All you want to do is judge people all the time.”  Yes, we are to judge righteous judgment.  What’s wrong with you that there is nobody in your midst who is spiritual enough to judge?”  Amen?  In that fifth chapter of Ephesians (verse 7) we see that we are not to be partakers with these people.  He says in verse 10, “…proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.  And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”  That word reprove in the Greek is “expose.”  Expose the error for what it is.  Don’t let this come among you.
