Are You Looking Up Today?
Scripture: Luke 21:28Devotional Series: Think It Not Strange

Hallelujah! Amen! The Lord is good, hallelujah! Thank God, the cry from the cross was, “It is finished,” amen? So, we’ve been rejoicing in the fact that we’ve been allowed to become partakers of that great redemption, bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus; hallelujah! Just rejoicing in the fact that it’s by grace that we’re saved through faith and that not of ourselves. It’s a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. There’s no boasting in this great righteousness in which we walk today; amen? But we are, in fact, the righteousness of God. We’re sons of God and we’re heirs of God (Hallelujah!) and we delight in that. God has gone and prepared a place for us, He said. He’s going to come again and receive us unto Himself, that where He is, there we may be also, hallelujah! Don’t you love that promise? “And so shall we ever be with the Lord,” praise God! Come quickly, Lord Jesus.
I trust that your eyes have been looking up today. I trust that you’ve been stirred in your heart and we see this world for what it is. Such a wicked place! Scripture calls it a crooked and perverse generation in which we live. In this last hour that you and I are in, let me remind you it’s not that we’re here by chance. We were chosen from before the foundations of the world. I don’t know how exactly this all works, it’s beyond my pay grade, but God is eternal; amen? There is no time and space. In that eternal position, that place that God was tabernacling in, He foresaw and knew that each and every one of us would be here today and then elected it. He predestined that you and I would not only be in this hour, but He would use this hour to perfect us in Jesus Christ. We are predestined to be conformed to the image of Jesus. Hallelujah! Part of that is by our daily lives in this wicked generation. As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be. The lawlessness of the judges, every man doing what was right in their own eyes. We see that as the environment we’re living in.
Young people are being taught in our schools that there is no truth, there are no absolutes. We remind ourselves and we shout it from the housetops, thy Word, O God, is truth; amen? We make no apologies and boast in the rightness of our God. There is no other name under heaven whereby men can be saved but that mighty name of Jesus. So, there is no place and there is no tolerance for Islam. There is no place and there is no tolerance for Buddhism. There is no place and there is no tolerance. We could go on and name the Hindus and whoever else it might be. That is the satanic kingdom, those are false religions. They are enemies of the cross of Jesus Christ. They need you and me to go out and help set them free as we love them and share with them this glorious gospel of Jesus; amen? They’re scattered and without any concept or knowledge of the love of God. The gods that they serve are cruel gods, they’re task masters. They’re unjust, just as all of the gods of the Greeks and the Romans were. There’s always been, and always will be, only one true God and His Son, Jesus Christ; amen?
