We look at all of this insanity around us, we look at people and go, “What’s happened? Everybody has lost their minds!” They have. They’ve been taken over by satanic powers; amen? The father of lies.
Through those lies, we’re going to see the amalgamating of this one-world religious system. We’re seeing it right now. The only way to have one-world religion is for all of the religions not to have to change what they believe. You see, there’s not going to be one belief system. It’s not going to be a unified church under the false prophet. Each will hold to their identity and to their doctrines. What their agreement will be is this the destruction of Christ, the destruction of Israel. What we’re seeing in the Middle East right now is just the introduction to this thing, the hatred for Israel. The church is restraining Antichrist. The moment we’re taken out of the way, this false prophet will begin to rise to power. There will be a unifying and it will be against God’s people, those with whom He made a covenant through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David (amen?)–that great Davidic covenant, that upon his throne will come He of whom it was spoken and He shall reign forever and forever. Hallelujah!
That’s the environment we’re living in right now. People have gone crazy. We have to bring the one-way gospel and make it very clear to people. No, you can’t continue to believe whatever you want to believe. No, even if you are naming the name of Jesus, you can’t create your own Jesus. It has to be the Jesus of the Bible and it can’t be the Jesus of the Bible that are your pet doctrines and verses. It has to be the Bible that has not been added to or diminished in any way; amen? You see, there is a whole bunch of Bible-quoting going on that is still building individuals’ kingdoms, that is still promoting false doctrine. "Study to show yourselves approved unto God, workmen that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth;" amen? If we don’t, in the last days these false prophets are going to rise. We’re going to hear all kinds of new revelations in this day that we’re coming into. I can’t say it enough: compare every word to the more, sure Word of prophesy; amen? Know the Word. Study the Word.
As we’re studying, as we’re personally preparing our hearts for the coming of the Lord, and I trust you are, are we taken up with this understanding that at any moment Jesus is going to come back? Do we truly believe that? Do we love His appearing? You know, we love a lot of other stuff. You love your wife. You love your children. Some of us love our jobs. We love our recreation. I can’t remember who it was that, years ago, made that powerful statement that, should Jesus tarry years from now–you know like those post-apocalyptic movies, like the Planet of the Apes. You remember that the end showed the Statue of Liberty, just the torch coming out and everything around it was destroyed and desolate? I think it might have been some Pulitzer-prize author or something made the comment along the lines that when people look back and this country was being looked at like the ruins of Rome, that the conclusion of this nation, the epitaph could read, “They entertained themselves to death.” There’s a lot there. This is not our hour for entertainment and playing. This is our time of sobriety and discipline to reach our generation with the gospel at any cost. What we do know is that it will cost us personal death.
