The Word is The Truth

Scripture: John 17:17
Devotional Series: Preparing for Jesus' Return
Teaching: Preparing For Jesus' Return pt. 1 (SUN_AM 2022-07-03) by Pastor Star R Scott

We are not ignorant of his devices and this “wokeness” which is being motivated through the racial, gender, feminist movements.  These self-interest groups are subjects that will cause the church, now, to be suspect of prejudice, bigotry, and hatred.  We’ve seen it in Canada.  We’ve seen it now in the Netherlands, people who are making references—not even speaking to individuals, but just quoting a Scripture verse—are being arrested, potentially facing two years in prison for just reciting a verse that would indicate that homosexuality is a sin and a reproach in the eyes of God.  It’s through these little vehicles that they’re going to try to enter the church.  If they can get some people “woke” but others are not, we have conflict.

We in our fellowship, the true church, Spirit-filled believers, Bible believing–you can’t even say that today.  They just did a survey of people who profess to believe that the Word of God is, in fact, the Word of God—don’t take that at face value.  In saying that, they didn't respond properly in the questions that were later asked.  They don’t believe that the Word of God is inerrant.  They would take it as “a word” of God.  In other words, “In the Bible you can find the Word of God.”  Let me tell you: the Bible is
the Word of God.  It is inerrant.  It is.  John 17 says, “Truth”; amen?  Anything that disagrees with it is a lie.

The Bible very simply takes care of every one of those issues.  The problem is that professed Christians don’t believe it.  They won’t accept it when it affects their racial position, whatever the ethnic group might be, when it affects this gender insanity that’s in our society today.  Many of these big churches are accepting this insanity, bowing to it, embracing it, ordaining transgender people into the ministry of their denominations.  "Male and female created He them," period; amen?

Well, how do you tell males from females?  It’s X, Y chromosomes; amen?  If you’ve got those chromosomes, that is what you are.  Yet, the church is embracing these ideologies.  We see what’s behind that.  We see that they have to depart from the true faith and will become a part of this great whore, the apostate religious system.  They’re going to prophesy smooth things and tell people what they want to hear.  You can go up and down Route 7 here today and find scores of churches, but you will not hear from the majority of these churches anything about sin, personal sin.

You are a sinner, and you need to realize that you are rebelling against the sovereignty of God.  You need to repent and understand that only in Jesus Christ, in His work of redemption alone, can man be justified and reconciled back unto God; and believe that there is no other name under heaven whereby men can be saved.  Once you believe that, you will become a new creation and your lifestyle will change with it.  You will no longer participate in the things that are of this world, but you will be a seeker a pursuer of God.  Your heart will pant after God.  Your heart will pant after God as the hart pants for the brook.

If you’re a Christian, you’ve got to change.  Old things pass away; all things become new.  "The things I used to love I now hate, and the things that I used to hate I now love.  The things I used to hate—the name of Jesus, worship, praise—I now love."  We’re living in a cross-less society.  Men refuse to take up a cross and subordinate their will.  Men believe their perception should be accepted by all others as truth, and nothing else should be imposed upon them.  If they’re not trying to put their truth off on you, they say, “This is my truth.  I don’t care what Jesus or the Bible or you say.  I am God of my life, and this is my truth.”  So, that’s the society we are living in.  We call it situational ethics.  There’s no absolute right or wrong.  It’s what the circumstances dictate, what’s right to me at this moment.
