We Shall Be Changed

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:51-52
Devotional Series: Before Honor, Humility
Teaching: Before Honor...Humility pt. 6 (SUN_AM 2023-10-15) by Pastor Star R Scott

Amen.  Hallelujah.  Well, it looks like things are working out that maybe we’ll be going home sooner than when we first believed; amen?  It’s an exciting time when you see all the players and what’s taking place in the Middle East.  Again, another cycling through where things are being put into order and should this be the timing of the Lord, it can come together in a minute, praise God.  The trumpet of God is going to sound and “the dead in Christ shall rise first” (1 Thessalonians 4:16) and those of us that remain “shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,” (1 Corinthians 15:51-52) the Scripture tells us.  You know, you look at what’s taking place in the Middle East, and should it continue in the direction that it’s going, we’re going to have to get out of here pretty soon, because there’s only three and a half years to get a temple built.

So, we have to get out of here and them start construction on the temple so in that the three-and-a-half-year period, the abomination of desolation will take place.  The Antichrist will declare himself God and all that we know will take place during that second half of the Great Tribulation, and will begin to work itself out, according to God’s promise, according to His declaration now for generations.  The Jews have been looking for that moment, the children of Abraham, we, the church have been looking for that reconciling back into His presence and those that have that hope will purify themselves, “even as He is pure” (1 John 3:3).  Come quickly, Lord Jesus; amen?

So, it’s exciting and don’t get caught up in all the politics of it, it’s not about politics.  Here again, it’s about the preparation of the bride.  It’s about the bride making herself ready.  And so, we see then, the hatred of Israel, you can see the slanted messages that are coming from the news media.  I took a bunch of time looking at some of the latest news things.  I think it was 15 minutes, and caught myself up on what’s going on, and excited about the coming of the Lord.  It fits in perfectly to what we’ve been speaking of: our need, as the church, as the bride of Christ to establish that character of humility in our lives.  We, as the bride, walk in complete submission to His Lordship.  We, as the church, are constantly disciplining ourselves and going to the Scriptures and letting the Word of God wash us—as the declaration has been made—washed by the water of the Word of God.  A pursuit of Christlikeness in the midst of a of a world that’s already inundated by the spirit of anti-Christ.

So, we stand in this last hour, as the light of the world.  We, the church, are the salt of the earth; amen?  And we need to take advantage in these last days of every opportunity that we’re given to share the Gospel.  Humble yourself, stop fearing men’s faces, and stop worrying about your reputation.  People are dying and going to hell.  For you to be uncomfortable a little bit is not too big of a sacrifice.  The only thing that keeps us from fulfilling our job is the failure to humble ourselves to embrace the rejection that Jesus endured, to be identified with Him in this last hour is a privilege, beloved.  It’s not a trial, it’s not a task that we have to go through.  It’s a privilege that we should delight to be hated for His namesake; amen?  So, take it on as something that is a badge of honor to wear at this particular time.
