He Shall Teach You All Things

Scripture: John 14:26
Devotional Series: Why Tongues
Teaching: Why Tongues? pt. 4 (SUN_AM 2023-07-23) by Pastor Star R Scott

As the real need for the Holy Spirit to have His way in the church in these last days, as the bride is being prepared for the soon coming of the Lord (Amen?) and it’s the Holy Spirit that that directs that preparation.  The Holy Spirit is the one Who is leading us into all truth.  The Holy Spirit is the one Who brings to our remembrance all the great things that Jesus had taught.  John 14 tells us, “The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever, I have said unto you.”  Hallelujah.  As we’re getting older and our memory’s not quite as sharp as it used to be, I thank God the Holy Spirit brings all things to our remembrance; amen?  That’s the ministry that I think is so important to us today, as this bride is being prepared, as false doctrine is going to emerge en masse in this hour that we’re living.

The Bible says there’s going to be a great influx, a great rise, of false prophets; amen?  Teaching “doctrines of devils,” the Scripture says.  False prophets that will arise and deceive many.  We need the Holy Spirit to solidify and to remind us of the sound doctrine our lives are built upon in this hour.  God’s Word being truth; amen?  He’s called the Spirit of truth.  He is the Author of this great, holy, infallible Word that you and I have this morning.  The Holy Spirit is the one Who has breathed forth these great revelations.  “Holy men of God spoke as they were moved upon by the Holy Spirit,” hallelujah.  So, He’s the one Who’s going to continue to remind us of this necessity for sound doctrine.  He’s the one Who will be confirming these realities.  Even the reality, in this last hour, that one of Satan’s great tactics is going to be lying against your justification, lying against your life in Christ Jesus.  Thank God, the Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are the sons of God; amen?  Aren’t you thankful for that?

Whenever circumstances might change, whenever there are times when you might have doubts or fears in your mind about circumstances, even at times questioning your own salvation, the Holy Spirit bears witness that we are the sons of God; hallelujah.  Now how does He do that?  Not just by a quickening, not just by an intuitive knowing, though that is part of it.  But He’s the one Who leads us back to these biblical truths of what justification is based upon; amen?  Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ, that we’re bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus.  So, we rest in that in these last days.  That’s one of the great works of the Holy Spirit.  Thank God for the gifts of the Spirit, but thank God for that inner voice that testifies that we are the children of God; hallelujah.  Thank God for the fruit of the Spirit as we grow in character.  Thank God the Holy Spirit’s leading us continually into the truth of our transformation into the image of Jesus; hallelujah.  What a great confidence we have in Him, that one who has begun this work in us through Jesus’ great redemption, will bring it to fruition.

We see in this hour, then, as the Holy Spirit is preparing us through the sanctification process, that He also wants to move in these last days and show Himself mighty in and through His church.  In and through His church.  The power of God, resisting the great power of antichrist that’s emerging in this hour.  Thank God, the Holy Spirit is in us, bringing that restraining power against the man of sin.  It’s vile out here, it’s corrupt, it’s going to get worse.  This iniquity, the evilness, is going to continue to abound.  The Scripture makes it clear, however, when the enemy comes in like a flood, God is there to raise up that standard against him; amen?  That blood‑stained banner of the Lord Jesus Christ, having declared the victory already won; hallelujah.  So, we rest in that.
