No Other Name Under Heaven

Do you know that the scientist, Nye, the science guy—he’s leaning strongly at this time that humanity—that we are the offspring of Martians. That’s where the world’s thinking is today. I’m not going to get sidetracked by these particular things right now.
The Scripture says that in all of their professed wisdom, this perception of themselves as little gods, each man who has not made Jesus Christ the Lord of their lives is a god unto themselves. Your eyes will be open, and you will be as God. See, and that’s what men don’t want to give up. That’s the only reason men don’t want to be saved. They will not recognize Jehovah God greater than their deity of self, their deifying of self. It’s all it’s about. “I will not bow. I am a greater god than You. You will bow to me.” So that’s very simply stated.
But in this hour, then, we see all of these gods being lifted up, the many paths to God—I might have spoken it just the other day, but you know, during the great generation, 61 percent of all people went to Christian churches. In the millennial age, 18 percent of that generation attends a Christian church. In the typical biblical fundamentalist church, they profess to believe the Bible is the Word of God. They profess that Jesus Christ is their savior. And over 50 percent believe there are many paths to God. One simple verse—amen? “There’s no other name under heaven whereby you can be saved” (Acts 4:12). “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man can cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). Now we have two witnesses. “In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established” (2 Corinthians 13:1). Amen?
Many of us run around and so freely call these people “brother,” “sister.” “I will say to them in that day, ‘I never knew you.’” “Lord, we did great things in Your name.” “I never knew you.” Any time you take the name of Jesus and add anything to it, you are anathema maranatha. This gospel cannot be added to or subtracted from one iota; amen? Anathema Maranatha: damned to hell. The Lord’s coming quickly.
We want to get into it here in John 15, but I want us to see how vital it is to get back to and abide in this branch or in this vine, this trunk, this source of all life and truth, Jesus Christ. And in this hour, how we’re being seduced away.
I heard a comment made by a man the other day. He said the reason we’re losing all of our young people when they go away to college is because they have no understanding of the truth of the first 11 chapters of Genesis. Because if you don’t believe, absolutely sure, upon Genesis 1:1, you will not believe John 3:16, “Thy word is truth” (John 17:17). Amen?
Science is getting better and better, it’s discovering all the truths that the Word of God has revealed in these last six thousand years, and man’s just catching up to some of these. And the evidence now—no leaps of faith—the evidence right now, the Grand Canyon was not formed over millions and millions and millions of years of erosion. The Grand Canyon came about probably in a period of about fifteen to twenty minutes.
Now, we don’t have to have scientific verification to believe that. It just so happens science is catching up to the truth of Genesis and those things that were not before understood; you can step back now, not even as a doctor in Anthropology or in Geology or whatever else—you can step back and just with an average understanding, go, “Ah, that really—I see that. That makes a lot of sense!”—in light of what we generally had as an historical observation of the breaking up of the deep and what took place at that time, what generated the flood. It was a worldwide flood. Noah did build a craft. It carried approximately six thousand animals onboard, because not every species was brought onboard but every kind. You didn’t have to bring every species of a dog; you just had to bring a male and female dog, and they reproduced, and man got involved, and you ended up with a poodle.
